So, I'm in a new neighborhood now: Sunnyside, Queens. About a mile from the 59th Street bridge. My Manhattan friends are actually crossing over from their side to visit me here. Like all smart New Yorkers, they know that the best drinking in the city can only be done in the outer boroughs.

Who are these smart people? None other than RB, NR and MO'L, who were also spotted drinking in Queens last summer (this might be the start of a trend).

Sunnyside is chock full of bars and pubs (about two on each block, on both sides of Queens Boulevard). Our first stop is Blooms, where there's a roaring fire in the hearth and they make beautiful hot toddies, full of lemon and cloves. Or, you could always grab a Guinness, like this one pictured on the left. That one's mine, though, so you'll have to grab your own.
