Hey! I have very good news: I got the package! Yay! Thanks a lot -- I love the [Spiderman] dvd. It has a bunch of special features. And the digital camera is great. I'll take a bunch of pictures and start sending them soon. It started raining again yesterday -- we've had four days of sun in the last three/four weeks ...

... I can be alone at Casa Rotelli (not counting Briciola of course) to study in peace and quiet. Isleep in the living room now on the cot that dad bought for when Aunt Rosella visited. It's way too cold in my room so I get a real good fire going in the stove and the whole floor gets really warm, so much so that the heat doesn't even turn on which makes dad happy. It stays warm the whole night ...

This weekend was great, in Pontremoli the sun was shining and Monte Orsaro was covered with snow. Santina made torta d'erbi, rabbit and pizza, each of which I thoroughly enjoyed. Briciola is shedding and Rocky is dirty and smelly. I'm going to a soccer game tomorrow night. I'll take a bunch of pictures of the stadium and send them to you. The game is Inter (of course) against Bayer Leverkusen (a german team).

I haven't gone out that much in Milan. The subway closes at around 1 am so it limits our movement. Generally, we go out when people take us around in a car, but so far we've only been to this gay club and to the movies. That's pretty much it. We hang out a lot at the Duomo and I generally leave my wallet at home when we do that because the temptation to spend money is quite great.

Fogbound.

23 December

Hey! Sorry I haven't written for a while. The end of the semester was kind of busy. Now I'm in Pontremoli and it's cold! Yesterday Robi was here visting. He had to sleep on the couch because the bedrooms are too cold. I'll be spending New Year's with him and the whole gang in Viareggio. Omar is flying in from New York the 30th, he'll come up here to Pontremoli for the day and on the 31st Robi, who just got his license, will come pick us up and bring us down to Viareggio. Everything seems to be turning out nicely. Here are some pictures of the stove, Robi and I, Robi attempting to cook (failed attempt), and the lovely view from our backyard this morning (I call that picture "fog"). Talk to you soon. Have a great Christmas Eve and send my best to everyone. Wish I was there ...
