Last year I purchased my first house in Astoria, a large neighborhood in northwestern Queens, NYC. I live in a section heavily populated by Greek and Italian families-- an area of town known as "Ditmars" (Ditmars Blvd. being the last stop on the "N" train).
All the homes in my neighborhood are similarly constructed: attached brick row houses with small front gardens. Take a walk anywhere within a ten block radius of my home and thrill to the incredible variety of saints which adorn the front yards of Astoria!
